For a great experience in the Jungle, keep a few important things in mind will make
your travel much easier. So, in no particular order, here is a list of things we suggest
you consider in your luggage:
Insect Repellent: It is best to protect yourself using an insect repellent both day and
night.
Sun Protection: Sunglasses and sunscreen are necessary for a trip to the jungle.
Lantern: Spending a night in the jungle is an unforgettable experience. You will hear
the noise of the animals, and you certainly will not want to do it in the dark.
Cotton clothing: Cotton will help keep your body cool during hot and humid days.
Also, try wearing light colored garments because dark colored ones attract mosquitoes.
The jungle is hot and humid during the day, so most people wear shorts to feel fresh.
However it is recommended to bring shirt, trousers and long socks for walks through
the jungle.
Hat or cap: With long spoiler to protect the neck.
Slippers, booties or sandals: With rubber sole.
Water / Raincoat: The use of a layer of water is advisable not to spend long time with
wet clothes on rainy days.
Binoculars: For the observation of birds and small monkeys.
Airtight plastic bag: It will be very useful to carry your passport, plane tickets and
telephone when you are sailing in a canoe.
Cash in local currency: For the acquisition of products in the communities that will
visit.
A good camera is the best luggage to go to the Amazon. If you have the opportunity
to share a moment with some Indian tribes, ask for their approval before taking
pictures.
